Julie Andrews made an unexpected appearance during tonight’s Oscars to pay special tribute to The Sound of Music.

Following a stunning performance of songs from the 1965 film by Lady Gaga, Julie — who, of course, portrayed free-spirited governess Maria in the classic movie — arrived onstage to a standing ovation.

“It’s hard to believe that 50 years have gone by since that joyous film was released. I blinked and suddenly here I am!” Julie, 79, began.

“I think that I do speak for everyone connected to the movie when I say, we all really felt blessed to be a part of it. And as for me, well, how lucky can a girl get?” she said.
